We offer sunset e-bike tours of Condado & Old San Juan.


Sunset e-Bike Tour Details

We start our tour at the historic Dos Hermanos Bridge , located at the westernmost point of Condado , through which it crosses Condado Lagoon (from east to west), where Ashford Avenue ends and Old San Juan begins. Once we cross the bridge, we are biking towards the old city of San Juan.

In old San Juan you will experience the cobblestone streets, colorful colonial buildings, and historical sites. You can visit landmarks like San Cristobal Fort and San Juan Cathedral. Old San Juan is steeped in history, so take your time to soak in the ambiance.

Biking to El Morro

Resume your bike journey along the waterfront road, enjoying stunning views of the coastline. El Morro, officially known as Castillo San Felipe del Morro, is a historic fortress overlooking the sea. 


Historical Exploration

Continue your exploration of old San Juan by visiting other historical sites like Plaza Colón, Plaza de Armas. Biking through Old San Juan allows you to appreciate its rich history, stunning architecture, and culinary offerings at a leisurely pace. Plaza Colón

One of the most important plazas in all of San Juan. In the center of the plaza, you'll find a monument of Christopher Columbus, which commemorate the fourth centenary of the arrival of the Spanish.

Plaza de Armas de San Juan

Formerly Plaza Mayor de San Juan, is located between Fortaleza and San Francisco streets in Old San Juan . Spanish troops practiced military exercises there, giving the square its name. Founded in 1521 as the central square of the city, it served mainly as a market until 1851.


Biking back...

The Luis Muñoz Rivera Park is an urban park that's found in the entrance to old San Juan, just steps away from Escambrón beach. The park grounds are filled with magnificent trees, wooden benches, playground areas, and various sculptures. While the park is an ideal location for outdoor recreation, its beautiful grounds also make it a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts.


What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations are accepted 48 hours or more in advance. It’s better to let us know sooner rather than later so we can discuss options. We will issue a refund for your eBike Tour with 48 hours of notice, or if the tour is canceled due to inclement weather.


What if this is my first time on an e-Bike?

Anyone who has ridden a traditional bike can master an eBike. Before the ride, your guide will walk everyone through eBike usage, safety, and etiquette. Once everyone in the group feels comfortable, the tour shall begin!

How old do you have to be to ride?

Our bike trips are for individuals aged 18 or older. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. 


Is a Sunset e-Bike Tour safe?

Yes safety is the utmost priority at San Juan Bike Rentals, LLC. Your tour guide is tasked with ensuring you understand how to use your eBike, and  equipment before the ride begins. Our Jetson Haze E Bikes are equipped with built in front and rear LED headlights. Our rear red led light blink every time you activate your front and rear breaks. With your rental you will receive a reflective Vest. Our vest are visible at a minimum distance of 1,000 feet. Our bicycle helmets are mips certified with a built- in rear red blinking led light. 

Will there be food?

The Sunset eBike Tour does not include a stop for food. We recommend eating lunch before you arrive for your tour, or bringing your own snacks.


How much riding is involved?

Our tour covers a distance of approximately 5 miles, and the total duration of the trip, including stops, will be around 2.5 up to 3 hours. Most riders find our eBikes makes our commute, journey, and different terrains is easy to navigate, and do not have difficulty keeping up with the pace of the trip. Our e bikes have  Your guide will have control of biking speeds. Since your guide is familiar with all terrains and know where all the hills and  slops are located you will be notified accordingly. Your guide will use his or her whistle to communicate with you. One whistle means peddle assist flat terrain two whistle means use your e bike throttle hills ahead, and 3 whisle means emergency everyone needs to break with caution , and come to a complete safety stop. A safety vest will be provided and must be used at all times.

Are water and snacks provided?

Yes 1 bottle of water is provided no snacks. If snacks are needed, we recommend bringing along your own in a small day pack or backpack. With your rental you will receive a e bike with led lights in front and rear, bottle holder, a helmet with a led light located at the rear, a security link lock with key, and a reflective safety vest.


What if the weather is bad?

If the weather creates an unsafe situation, we will cancel your tour. We make the call as close to the tour time as possible, which still gives people a chance to plan accordingly. Light rain is generally not an issue for riders, but if rain is forecast we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to embark. In the case of unsafe weather, your tour will either be rescheduled or refunded.
